Vrushali Yegambhatla’s journey with Bharatanatyam began at the age of four and has remained a constant thread in her life ever since. Over the past two decades, what started as early training gradually grew into a deep commitment to the art form. Under the guidance of esteemed gurus, she trained in both the Kalakshetra and Vazhuvoor styles, shaping her understanding of discipline, expression, and tradition. Along the way, she has had the opportunity to perform on respected stages across the United States and India, each experience adding to her growth as a thoughtful and grounded artist.
Continuing her journey from a foundation rooted in discipline and curiosity, Vrushali Yegambhatla deepened her path as a Bharatanatyam artist while building a strong professional career. While pursuing her Masters degree in Engineering Management in the United States, she co founded a startup that explored how dance can support emotional and mental well being. During this time, she also built her professional career as a Project Manager, working with startups and companies and gaining valuable global experience through both her artistic engagements and professional collaborations. After completing her degree and gaining experience abroad, Vrushali moved back to India to focus more deeply on Bharatanatyam, creating her own productions and working toward introducing initiatives that highlight the positive impact of this art form on mental health. Today, she continues to bridge tradition and leadership through her work, using dance as a meaningful way to create impact while growing as both an artist and a professional.

Vrushali Yegambhatla’s dance journey has led her to several prestigious stages around the world. With deep devotion to Bharatanatyam, she has had the honor of sharing her art with audiences across both the United States and India. Each performance stands as a testament to her passion, discipline, and enduring love for this timeless classical tradition, allowing her to connect with diverse audiences while staying rooted in the rich heritage of Bharatanatyam. Her performance portfolio includes notable events such as the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Festival at Sri Siva Vishnu Temple (Maryland), the Samarpana Dance Festival (2017-2018), and the World Cultural Festival in Washington, D.C., organized by the Art of Living. Additionally, Vrushali has performed at the Annammayya Bhadrachala Ramadasu Festival and the Nadaneerajanam event at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (2023).


One of the most cherished milestones in Vrushali Yegambhatla’s journey was her performance at the renowned Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. This spiritually significant opportunity was made even more memorable as her performance was broadcast live on the national television channel, SVBC. The experience stands as a highlight in her career, an embodiment of devotion, artistry, and the profound connection between dance and the divine.
This performance was a celebration of the region’s rich spiritual and artistic heritage. Vrushali was honored to be one of only six performers selected from across the DMV area to present her art at this prestigious event. It was a truly humbling opportunity to represent the classical tradition of Bharatanatyam on such a meaningful and revered platform, reinforcing her commitment to preserving and sharing this sacred art form with wider audiences.

Vrushali Yegambhatla was deeply honored to receive the esteemed Natya Prabha Award at the Naadam Festival of Dance in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, for two consecutive years (2019–2021). This prestigious recognition stands as a testament to her unwavering dedication to preserving and promoting the rich classical tradition of Bharatanatyam. It reflects not only her technical excellence and artistry but also her deep commitment to upholding the cultural and spiritual essence of the dance form.
Vrushali Yegambhatla was honored to be declared the winner of the Ojas Dance Festival for the year 2021–2022, standing out among over 500 accomplished dancers from across Bangalore. This prestigious achievement is a reflection of her exceptional artistry, rigorous training, and deep-rooted passion for Bharatanatyam. It stands as a proud milestone in her journey, celebrating her ability to captivate audiences while staying true to the spiritual and cultural core of the classical tradition.
